MORE than 22,000 people were evacuated from a music festival in Spain last night after a massive fire engulfed its stage.
Crowds fled Barcelona’s Tomorrowland Unite festival just hours before Steve Aoki was set to headline the event.
An eyewitness said on social media the stage "just exploded".
Firefighters rushed to the scene and eventually managed to put out the fire which they said "totally destroyed" the stage.
No serious injuries were reported - a total of 22,143 people had to be evacuated from the festival.
The event's private security treated 20 people for minor injuries or anxiety.
