Cameroon investigates video showing execution of women and young children 'suspected to be linked to Boko Haram'

Distressing footage has emerged appearing to show soldiers in Cameroon executing two women and two young children after accusing them of being Boko Haram militants.



The graphic video shows two women, one with an infant strapped to her back, being led by a group of uniformed men across a patch of dusty scrubland.



After hitting one woman across the face, a soldier shouts: "You are BH, you are going to die."



The women are blindfolded and told to sit down alongside their children. Moments later, two men step back, level their rifles and fire a series of rounds.



The authenticity of the video has not been verified and the footage is being investigated by Cameroon authorities, Reuters reports.
