    The reason they restrained the boy is that he is highly contagious. If you get that spit in an open cut or if he spit in your eye or mouth, you'll get the disease, too. Also, that whole "mad dog" thing has a basis in fact. Animals and humans afflicted with this disease have a tendency to lash out with teeth and claws. Rent "Ole Yeller" and you'll get it.

    too quickly, maybe the child is sedated, and maybe it would be bad to sedate him more by going by the book look at all the saliva he was making, maybe it would be fatal to do that. and Stevens is right about the restraining. This kind of stuff happens every....well second of the earth. It will not make a difference if you stop watching stuff like this just make you that much more ignorant. =)
