Um, yeah, right.
Ever think this may be a bunch of fanatical Scientologists spreading part of their dogma around? And plus, SEVERE mental illness exists and it can't have the murderous, sadistic parts "talked out" through talk therapy or by paying Scientology for courses that eventually lead to belief in intergalactic DC-8's and Xenu, may his Hydrogen bombs spread Thetans everywhere, amen.
Yup, a Scientology-affiliated office
Yep, I just checked on it and the "Citizen's Commission on Human Rights" (the makers of this video) are with the church of Scientology. Not since they took over the CAN (Cult Awareness Network) to try pushing the weak towards their coffers have I seen something as misguided and blindly dogmatic as this. You know the guys on the streets, who mutter or yell to themselves and remain unmedicated? Try taking them to a Scientology church and see how much "help" they get when the faithful get a whiff of the poverty and crazy in them.
Irony
These people never offered scientific evidence to prove that psychiatry doesnt ever work. (they asked random people on the street to pose as "doctors", or only asked unsuccessful docs...I wonder how many doctors they edited out of the video who said they HAD cured patients?) Your brain is made up of electrical signals and chemicals all working like cogs in a machine to create who you are, your beliefs, your personality, morals, everything, is all just electrical coincidences. To assume that nature ALWAYS prevails in making everyone wired perfectly (ie claiming theres no such this as "mental illness"), is fucking retarded. Look around you, the world is full of natural mistakes, not a single living or inanimate thing is perfect. Diseases, conditions, birth defects, mutations, ect. Yet you think ALL of our minds are okay, and that its the world that messes us up or something? Trying to disprove something like this is only possible through religious manipulation, censorship, and stupid people who don't put 2 + 2 together. What's next on the religious institution's "never existed" list? Gravity? Cancer?
homoless people
on the street talking to themselves would still behave the same even if they were prescribed medications and used as test subjects. the problem is that nobody has the power/money to prove psychiatry is a greedy super hero trying to profit from other peoples misery. its fun to argue about it though...
Dont try and bullshit me Scientology.
I know scientology , wanna know how those unnamed pshychs are hire by scientology? Watch 2:42 Bag strap beige... keep watching youll see 4 others using the same bag same strap... weird.. I bet physchs have a standard nazi handbag issued by Xenu tho.
Scientology...
Knew before I even started watching it. Yes the psychiatric industry is primarily profit focused. Yes it's tied in with pharmaceutical companies and yes many people have been misdiagnosed as a result. But that doesn't have any bearing on the legitimacy of the field or the vast majority diagnosed with real psychiatric conditions. It's just a real shame Scientology couldn't help Lisa McPherson following a mental breakdown. It's a shame the last thing she ever heard was a $240 Scientology tape that they gave her to listen to as she was starving to death whilst being held prisoner in a hotel room. It's a shame Scientology couldn't help Jeremy Perkins with his schizophrenia. The "prescribed" vitamins and minerals his scientologist mother was giving him wasn't enough to stop him stabbing her 77 times on L. Ron Hubbards birthday. It's a shame they couldn't help epileptic Herbert Pfaff, when he suffered a seizure and died following advice from scientologists to replace his medication with that same course of vitamins and minerals. It's a shame for Josephus Havenith, Noah Antrim, Roberto Deplano, Gabriella Bramucci, Wilhelm Mack, John Buchanan, Patrice Vic, Rudolf Willems, Rodney Rimando, and the countless others who've died of "apparent" suicides whilst receiving costly (costly to the point of nearly all of them being financially ruined after turning over all of their money or even estates to Scientology) treatment for their engrams (psychiatric problems). If anybody is reading this, research them. learn what the "church" is all about, and do what you can to raise awareness to the dangers of this cult. www.xenu.net
