    That is standard for the modern slaughtering of a Hog. The only method as humane is shooting it in the head with a large caliber. Other than those two methods, the only other option is cutting its head off, which is fairly gruesome and slow. The method of electrocution they use is enough to immediately cause cardiac arrest. It is like a lightning strike to a person, it renders them unconscious immediately.
