Not the spotters fault

Clearly the idiot doing the lifting wasn't using a proper grip. Not wrapping your thumb around the bar can pretty much assure you will drop the weights as they get heavier since there is nothing there to support it. Even if the spotter was right there, the sudden drop of the weight still would have caught him off guard like it did
