A terrified man was knocked out and left slumped in a busy road after thugs kicked and punched him in the face.
The unnamed man was then pulled to safety by his attacker, who seemed to have a quick change of heart when his victim came within inches of getting run over.
Another man then appeared to take off the victim's shoes before running away and leaving him bruised and unconscious on the pavement.
A nearby resident spotted the shocking footage on their CCTV and passed it to police, who are now appealing for information on the incident.
The footage shows one man push another into the road, and then punch him in the face as he tried to get up, reports Liverpool Echo .
