On a day that was engulfed by legal bombshells in the Robert Mueller investigation, Hillary Clinton found a moment of levity in a Chicago appearance tied to her book tour, at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University—although her gag may leave proponents squirming "too soon!"
The former Democratic presidential candidate was interviewed in front of a large group of supporters by author Cheryl Strayed on Monday night. It was the evening before Halloween, so, naturally, the topic of costumes arose.
“Oh well, I have to start thinking about it ... I think I will maybe come as the president," Clinton joked.
"I think that's a great idea," responded Strayed. Judging by the rapturous applause that followed, the audience would seem to agree.
