A box of 1,200 fireworks have been thrown inside a shop by a group of youths as others stood around laughing.
Staff stuck inside the Go Local Extra, in Bootle , tried to get out, with one getting injured as he was hit by flying debris, while another tried to put the box out with a fire extinguisher.
Passerby Gareth Webster, who filmed the shocking attack, said: “I was literally putting my hand on the door to go in and they pushed past me and lashed it in the shop.
“It was three young lads.
“There was a crowd of about 20-30 lads over the road. They must have known it was going to happen.
“There was more smoke than anything and some stock looked damaged.
