Skilled pilots managed to land a plane in 77-mph winds as Storm Emma roared across the UK.
The massive gusts were no match for the pilots, who landed the plane at Manchester Airport at the height of the storm.
Passengers were still in for a rocky ride as the plane was buffeted by the fierce winds on Thursday.
Dozens of flights were cancelled across the UK as snow , ice and wind gripped airfields across the country - and Manchester’s airfield staff worked flat-out to de-ice planes.
Flights to Dublin, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, London Heathrow, Guernsey, Cork, Belfast City and Norwich were cancelled.
