A mum allegedly ran over and killed her three-year-old son while playing a game of chicken with him near the family home.
Lexus Stagg, 26, was caught on CCTV cameras appearing to drive a two-and-a-half tonne 4x4 vehicle towards her three young children, has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Police say Stagg, from Houston, Texas, had claimed she had not seen the boy who 'ran behind her car as she backed out of her parking spot'.
Initially, officers had deemed the boy's death an "unfortunate accident" after Stagg told them she thought she had hit a speed bump.
But the security footage appears to show the mother reversing backwards as her three children run after the car.
The video then shows Stagg driving forwards again, as the children try to run away from the vehicle.
