A soldier has gone on a mass shooting rampage in a city in Thailand and left at least 20 people dead in a bloody massacre.
The crazed military officer opened fire in Nakhon Ratchasima – also known as Korat – in north-eastern Thailand this afternoon.
He first killed his commander and two others at a military base before storming the Terminal 21 shopping mall in the city.
The gunman then randomly shot at multiple civilians at the mall, reportedly including a police officer, child, taxi driver, and a student.
The suspect is now said to be holed up on the fourth floor of the mall where he has taken 16 hostages.
